The Importance of Sketching
My sketchbooks are my most important tool; they contain the raw materials for paintings and ideas for new directions, and are a sharpening stone for the basic skill of joining the keen eye with the hand.
I don't sell my sketches but I love to share them with anyone who wants to have a look. My messy lines and scribbled tones are shorthand for thoughts and impressions of significant and not-so significant moments in life. They are image captures made in a low-tech medium.
